Covid-19 Update

I want to thank you for your commitment and understanding as we all are weathering this very difficult situation. After three long months, I am very happy to announce the physical reopening of our office on Monday, June 15. As I mentioned in my last email, we have spent the time away from the office planning for our return, putting in place the practices and procedures that will take our infection control techniques to the next level necessary to continue to protect you and my staff. Your safety is our priority, and with that in mind, here is what to expect for your next office visit:

You will receive a call from one of my staff to ask some pre-screening questions prior to your scheduled appointment. By follow-up email and/or text message, you will be asked those same questions again before your visit.

There will be a curbside waiting room; either your car, or, if you come by an alternate mode of transportation, somewhere in the parking lot where you wish to wait. Please call or text us upon arrival to check in. We then will let you know by text or call when you should come to the office door for your appointment.

Please wear a mask when coming to your appointment. No one will be permitted in the office without a  mask.

A staff member will meet you at the door, ask you some questions and take your temperature. You will be asked to use hand sanitizer when you enter. You then will be escorted to your treatment room.

If you arrive with a companion, they will be asked to wait outside of the office during your appointment. One parent or guardian will be permitted to accompany a minor patient into the office, if necessary.

We ask that you observe social distancing whenever possible while visiting the office. We will help with that.

Our infection control methods now include HEPA air purifiers which constantly clean the air circulating throughout the office. We have installed special high-volume suction cones for dental procedures which eliminate any aerosol created by my handpieces. The hygienists have specialized high-volume suction devices in their operatories to reduce spray and further your comfort. We also frequently will disinfect commonly touched surfaces throughout the entire office.

Our attire has changed. In addition to wearing gloves, masks, and eye protection, we also will be wearing face shields, head coverings and gowns. Additionally, we have upgraded our clinical staff to N95 respirator masks.

Each day when we come to work, we will be performing the same screening procedures on ourselves as we are with you.

Finally, our check out process has been modified. To avoid a backup at the front desk and to create as contactless an environment as possible, we will request a credit card number prior to you entering the office. As always, we will electronically submit your claims if you have dental insurance. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to discuss this with my administrative staff.

I am confident that these additional measures will allow the safest treatment possible and we will be ready to deliver the finest care you have come to know. I cannot wait to see each of you.
